VEST APPLICATION
Pet owners often struggle to recognize early signs of health issues in their dogs, especially in high-risk breeds. I developed a mobile health application using Android Studio that helps monitor symptoms, provide early alerts, and guide owners on preventive care. This solution empowers pet owners to take timely action and improve their dogs’ overall well-being.
The application was created using Android Studio combining technology with animal health education. It features a clean, pet-friendly design and organized menus that allow users to learn about aspiration pneumonia, data are stored in firebase which is displayed in on the app. Through this project, I demonstrated foundational skills in mobile app development while addressing a real-world problem faced by pet owners.
This tab presents line charts that help determine whether the vital signs are within healthy ranges. The values shown for each parameter are collected in real time from a wearable device embedded with sensors and components, which is securely attached to the dog
This is the Results tab, it displays the optimal values for each vital sign, allowing pet owners to monitor their pet’s health status easily. The percentage indicator shows how close each reading is to the ideal range, with values nearer to 100% signifying that the vital sign is within the correct and healthy range.
